Privacy Policy

The California Healthcare Performance Information System (CHPI) routinely gathers summary, anonymous information about the use of the Site, including the number of visitors and the pages visited. We do not collect personally identifiable information about visitors. The information provided by users will be retained for research purposes – individual user data will be combined to do aggregate analyses to understand users’ interests and preferences.

Any information that is voluntarily provided to CHPI through the Site by e-mail is treated with the same consideration and confidentiality as any information sent to us by the U.S. mail or communicated to us by telephone. Site visitors are encouraged to send comments about the Site, but visitors should recognize that communications sent via the world-wide-web are not secure transmissions and should be careful not to send private information. CHPI assumes no responsibility for maintaining the privacy of any information that a visitor emails to the Site. Email contact information is used to answer questions posed by the visitor and to allow CHPI to better understand visitors’ experiences in using the Site. We will not disclose information contained in an email that is sent to the Site to anyone outside of CHPI without your consent. No visitor email information is used for the purposes of marketing or sales.
